trip to france-brittany
On our last trip to France this year we decided to visit picturesque Brittany. On this trip we also managed to buy two fantastic, gilt bronze 19th century chandeliers by the prestigious French crystal brand Baccarat for our collection. The chandeliers come from a chateau and will soon be on display in our gallery and online. We also explored the historic town of Dinan, which is definitely worth a visit. Dinan is a medieval walled town located on the River Rance. In the attractive centre are many fine half-timbered houses with beautiful facades dating from the 15th and 16th century, as well as picturesque cobbled streets. Popular sites include the monumental Château de Dinan. The castle offers a beautiful view over Dinan. 'Chez Bongrain' - a traditional French restaurant – serves excellent culinary French specialties.
